Codex Alimentarius and HR 2795

I first wrote about Codex Alimentarius back in June when I first learned about it myself. Be sure to read that introductory piece and take the time to watch the embedded video there of an excerpt of a speech given by a doctor who's very well-versed when it comes to this internationl program.

This is definitely something that Christians and non-Christians alike need to be aware of. One of the hallmarks of the prophesied One World Government is that, with the Antichrist at the helm of such an institution, it will exert full control over every aspect of our daily lives. In other words, freedom will become a distant memory and EVERYTHING will be under the control of this single governing body. This "Codex Alimentarius" deception is a key part of this coming New World Order and yet it’s something that rarely gets the attention I think it deserves despite the fact that it has to do with a basic necessity of life.

To me, I’ve said that "Codex Alimentarius" is Latin for "We’re Screwed!" Pardon my French, but that’s because there’s simply no other way you can interpret what this intends to do as being anything other than a blatant attack on the population.

All kidding aside, "Codex Alimentarius" is Latin for "food code" or "food book", and it’s a set of standards for food and nutrition, created by the United Nations (UN) and backed by the World Trade Organization (WTO).

It aims to control what type of foods people can grow, sell, eat, and what types of dietary supplement can be manufactured and sold. It even has rules about how a person can grow such foods. So what, right?

Why is Codex Alimentarius something we should all be concerned with? Well, anyone who says that Codex is consumer protection, voluntary, or harmless are intellectually dishonest in my book. I’m sorry to be so blunt about it, but there’s simply no way you can interpret it as being any of those things. It’s far from being benign!

But don’t take my word for it. You can do a Google search for Health Freedom USA and the Natural Solutions Foundation and then take the information you find there under prayerful consideration. It’s remarkable too because it’s associated with a woman by the name of Dr. Rima Laibow, and she’s been a successful natural medicine physician since the 1970s. More importantly, she’s studied roughly 16,000 pages of Codex documentation so she knows what she’s talking about.

Here's the bottom line: Contrary to the propaganda, Codex Alimentarius has absolutely nothing to do with consumer protection. Codex is about the economic ambitions of multi-national corporations, in particular, the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, and where things get really serious for us, is that it will result in the deaths of millions! That’s not hyperbole either!

Here's a brief quote that Dr. Laibow made during one speech on this subject back in 2005:

"Under Codex, every dairy cow on the planet must be treated with Monsanto's recombinant bovine growth hormone. Furthermore, under Codex, every animal used for food on the planet must be treated with sub-clinical antibiotics, and must be treated with exogenous growth hormone. If you do the numbers, in the WHO/FAO projections, the epidemiological projections, they estimate -- not I -- that just the vitamin and mineral guideline alone...when it goes into global implementation...on December 31, 2009...will result in a minimum of 3 billion -- that's 'B', 'bad, 'big' -- billion deaths! 1 billion through simple starvation! Those folks who die are not particularly, economically 'successful' from the point of view of the corporations, but the next 2 billion, they will die from the preventable diseases of under nutrition! Who will live? Probably those people who are wealthy enough and powerful enough to have their own pushers of clean food and nutrients."

It might sound absurd on the surface, but that’s because the Codex Alimentarius Commission is NOT a Public Health Commission or even a Consumer Protection Commission as advertised, but instead IS a Trade Commission! The worst part? In 1962, or 47 years ago, they stated that they're going to work toward total, global implementation of Codex Alimentarius on December 31, 2009.

Now, this is not "fear-mongering" or "doom-and-gloom". This is the truth of the matter and unless people become aware of such things they’ll just go on living being oblivious to all of this and that’s what motivates me when it comes to talking about this and other topics like it. I mean, if people are already this deceived by man and his man-made institutions, then it stands to reason that they’ll be putty in the Antichrist’s hands when he shows up with his False Prophet and all those "lying signs and wonders".

Doctors even predict that these types of laws and regulations will ultimately seek to control your health treatment choices as well as food and supplements. Codex was initially created in order to control every aspect of food production, packaging, preparation, preservation, and presentation -- "from farm to fork" so to speak, but the plan behind Codex Alimentarius is to regulate, and thus control, EVERY SINGLE THING you put in your mouth. Simply put, if Codex Alimentarius is implemented like it’s scheduled to by the end of this year, then therapeutic dosages of vitamins and minerals (and all other nutrients soon to follow) will become unavailable because they will literally become illegal! It’s absurd!

It's strange to think that there would be a formal political movement and set of laws and regulations designed to control such things even when you factor in what we know about the coming One World Government. Then again, how far fetched is it when you consider one of the first moves taken by Congress soon after Barack Obama was elected President was to create a related Bill known H.R. 875?

The new administration proposed H.R. 875, which is legislation that targets organic farmers, benefits manufacturers of genetically engineered/genetically modified (GM) seeds like the ones the corporate giant Monsanto makes, and threatens to uproot backyard vegetable gardens and farmer's markets across the country. Basically, it creates a sort of "food police" run by the government. Called the "Food Safety Modernization Act," it was promptly referred to House committees, but it was never brought to the floor for consideration. But let’s not breathe a sigh of relief just yet.

While H.R. 875 was never passed, most people are unaware that a similar Bill was passed just two weeks ago before Congress took recess! In a sinister piece of legislation, H.R. 2749 sets the stage to use food and nutrition as a weapon against the people -- plain and simple.

This Bill will essentially strip food-safety duties from the FDA, and create an equally large or larger bureaucracy to oversee all aspects of food in America. This Bill:

> authorizes warrantless searches of farms

> imposes a $500 tax (or "registration fee") of all operators in all steps of the food production chain

> imposes civil penalties up to $20,000 per individual for each violation

> creates a dizzying food trace-back system, burdening farms and small businesses with reams of new paperwork

> empowers the Department of Health and Human Services to micro-manage the raising and harvesting of crops (you might have assumed that Congress would’ve handed the U.S. Department of Agriculture this terrible power.)

> is so broadly written that it could be used to enforce measures against you and your backyard garden!

In essence, Congress wants to punish the innocent and protect the guilty. It is not small farms and businesses that were the sources of contaminated food scares, but rather the processing facilities of large corporations. Yet, this Bill will only drive small farms out of business, which means reduced competition and higher prices in an already-bad economy.

Furthermore, my research uncovered some disturbing comments from someone who is a senior staffer for a Congressman:

HR 2749 EH (the version passed out of the House of Representatives) includes its own definitions of ‘farm’ and ‘facility,’ which at first glance, you might think you understand. I ask that you carefully verify your understanding with a dictionary, starting with a good law dictionary, if at all possible. I also hereby advance my contention that this bill is full of language deception...considered in its use to fool the most people. I hope you will read on and evaluate my reasoning, and the bill’s language. You may think my words strong and over-the-edge, but I can tell you if this bill passes the Senate with only the provisions it now contains, let alone any added ‘mischief’ life in America is over as we’ve ever known it.

Of course, history show us that Socialists, Communists, Islamists and Marxists, use food and the production of food as a weapon against their own people in order to solidify power and control. Hitler himself said that using food as a weapon was "a beautiful instrument…for maneuvering and disciplining the masses." I believe Henry Kissinger said much the same thing at one time or another too.

Well, the Democrats set the stage for the same exact kind of weapon the tyrants of history used, to be used against us, if they so wish. Look, I'm not pointing the finger at one party in particular here either, or equating the Democrats with the Nazis, but I am trying to point out that the legal framework is now in place that would allow an evil faction or a political tyrant to use food against the national population as a means of obtaining more control and more power over the masses. That should concern all of us no matter which side of the political aisle we're currently standing on.

H.R. 2749, ridiculously called the "2009 Food Safety Enhancement Act" was passed by the House right before they took off for the Summer Recess. Few know about this because all the public’s attention was upon the battle over National Health Care and the spectacle surrounding Obama’s Beer Summit. The Bill was rushed through to passage using the same impetus of "urgency" and fear that was used to get the Stimulus Bill shoved through -- with no public input or comments allowed, and done just one day before the Summer Recess! I doubt any of those who voted for this Bill, even read it, which is how Congress does things these days.

Not surprisingly, it was promoted under the same guise of being "for the children", even though this amounts to nothing more than a Communist takeover of food and food production done under the name of “food safety”. They even used the recent salmonella events of peanuts and lettuce as the springboard for nationalization, and apparently the country applauds the notion that giving government total control of our nation’s food supply, from farm to fork, is a good thing.

In the Bill, every form of food production is monitored, regulated, and controlled at all levels by the federal government under the leadership of a new Food Safety Czar. Yet ANOTHER Czar, accountable to no one except the President. The worst part? The person who may be responsible for more food-related illness and death than anyone in history has just been made the U.S. Food Safety Czar. That is no joke. If Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), or GM Foods, are indeed responsible for massive sickness and death, then the individual who oversaw the FDA policy that facilitated their introduction holds a uniquely infamous role in human history. That person is Michael Taylor. He had been Monsanto's Attorney before becoming policy chief at the FDA. Soon after, he became Monsanto's Vice President and chief lobbyist. Today, he’s the Food Safety Czar.

Let me just write that again and allow the implications to sink in for a moment because this cannot be overstated. The man that brought you Monsanto's genetically engineered bovine growth hormone is now America's Food Safety Czar. Please tell me that you can see right through this because this is blatantly criminal and sinister in my eyes.

Of course, the mainstream media is hailing the passage of this Bill in the House as a great step in helping America have better food safety standards. America already HAS the best safety standards in the world, but that is not good enough apparently. I guess that according to some, the government must regulate and control it all, and this Bill does exactly that. The Bill requires EVERY ENTITY, whether it be an individual, business, church organization, homeless shelter, or home gardener to register annually with a new Federal Food Bureau.

Hopefully, everyone can clearly see that these laws, this movement, this science, and Codex Alimentarius in particular directly relates to what we know about the One World Government as prophesied. It's no longer "coming" folks, it's already here. When I come to that realization I have to remember to rest on God's promises and fight any fear with faith because I know that this is the type of news that means the Black Horse is ready to ride across the planet.

Seeds and home gardens are as important as your right of self-defense, because without them you eat whatever a global corporation like Monsanto tells you to eat. Your diet determines your health, mental acuity, longevity, level of energy, and much more. I mean, after all, a human being's most fundamental needs in this world are food, clothing, shelter, and self-defense. As long as you have the ability to provide for these yourself, you are free. However, when you must depend upon government (or the government's designated global corporation) for these -- actually, I should probably say that when it is even illegal for you to provide these for yourself -- you are a slave. How can there be any other conclusion? Mission accomplished in their eyes.

Look at history to understand what happens EVERY SINGLE TIME a government controls the people’s food and farms. Mass death and genocide, for the purpose of controlling the people and bending them to the will of those in power, and that seems to be America’s near future the way this regime in Washington is going.

More proof of the end times indeed. So, this is another sign that we're quickly approaching the prophesied oppressive One World Government system. Besides Revelation 6, Daniel 7:25 certainly comes to mind too.
